Piracy
Continuing piracy of my
photographs, particularly by
internet auction sellers has made it necessary
to impose the following strict conditions:
Anyone wanting to use any of the photos
contained in this site must ask
permission before copying them.
Nurseries and other commercial users are expressly forbidden to use
these photographs
except where I have granted permission and I am satisfied
that the plants offered are true to name. In other cases I shall require
that a specimen of each cultivar is sent to me so that I can check the
authenticity of that plant. Only
after the identity has been validated will I grant permission to use the
photograph or other material.
Commercial Webdesigners and Internet
Auction Sellers must
take note that a fee (normally £40 per
photograph) will be charged for the use of my material. This fee will be
subject to a penalty surcharge of 500%
if material is discovered to have been used without permission.
This means that it will cost you £40 +
£200 penalty surcharge if you steal one of my photographs to illustrate
an item for sale on eBay or similar internet site.
The penalty surcharge will be donated to charity.
Such use of my photograph or text shall constitute
acceptance of these conditions and liability to pay these charges.
