Key facts
 | Parentage: Cistus salviifolius x Halimium lasianthum 'Formosum' |
 | Flower colour: white with central maroon zone |
 | Flower diameter: 4 - 4.5cm |
 | Height & Spread: 60cm x 75cm |

 | Notes: found as a self-sown seedling at Hillier's Nursery; does not have a
strong constitution and is not reliably hardy, but perhaps the most
eye-catching of all. |
 | Cultivar: 'Merrist Wood Cream': a sport in which the background
colour of the petals is creamy-yellow,
found on a plant at Merrist Wood College. (This cultivar has itself given
rise to a further sport - not yet available - lacking the maroon central
zone) |
